FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What do you charge?

Depending on the type of legal issue, our firm represents clients on a flat fee, an hourly fee, a contingent fee (we don’t get paid unless you win), or a hybrid fee (combination of hourly/contingent).

For example, a flat fee is charged in the case of a straight forward legal procedure such as a business incorporation. However, for cases that involve litigation, and depending on the type of the legal matter involved (real estate litigation, trust litigation, personal injury), we generally bill our clients on a contingent or hourly basis.

How long can legal processes take?

The amount of time depends on the complexity of the legal issue(s) being addressed, the parties involved, and the conduct of opposing counsel. Some legal matters can be taken care of in a few weeks, but some legal matters which evolve into lawsuits can take 1-2 years to resolve, depending on the nature of the above. Although we have learned that the time period can be dramatically diminished by the preparedness of the client, and our client’s ability to respond promptly to our inquiries.

How soon can I get in for a consultation?

Our office aims to schedule new client consultations within 48 hours, but oftentimes we can accommodate a same day consultation depending on the client’s needs and the attorney’s caseload.
